What We Do

Our group was developed after the massive devastation sustained from Hurricane Helene. Every dollar earned will be put back into the artists and art community in Asheville and the surrounding area.

Our Mission

Supporting Artists and Reviving Art Culture

As we embark on this journey of recovery, several initiatives are being put into place aimed at revitalizing the local art scene while providing support to artists in need. We will ensure that the artists comprising the Asheville art scene are able to continue with their important contribution to the culture of Asheville.

IMMEDIATE

1. **Establishing a Recovery Fund for Artists**: A dedicated recovery fund will be created to provide financial support to artists affected by the hurricane. This fund will assist with repairs, supplies, and resources essential for artists to resume their creative practices.

2. **Artistic Partnerships**: Local businesses, nonprofits, and art organizations are coming together to form partnerships that will host fundraising events and programs to benefit the arts community. From art auctions to workshops, these collaborations will not only generate funds but also strengthen community bonds.

FUTURE

3. **Public Art Initiatives**: We believe that public art plays a crucial role in rebuilding community spirit. Initiatives will be launched to create murals, sculptures, and installations that reflect our resilience and hope. These artworks will serve as symbols of our recovery and heritage.

4. **Artist Residencies and Workshops**: To support the creative process, artist residencies and workshops will be established that invite artists to mentor emerging talents while sharing their experiences of overcoming adversity through art. This platform will foster creativity and dialogue, allowing for collective healing and expression.

5. **Advocacy for Policy Support**: We will advocate for local and state policies that protect and support the arts, particularly during disaster recovery. This involves campaigning for funding, grants, and initiatives that are crucial for the reconstruction of the creative landscape.

“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.”
